A UK female folk duo from the late 1960s, Francesca Garnett (later Posney) and her cousin Lisa Bankoff were two schoolgirls immersed in the Swinging London scene. In 1967, they recorded a demo that was ultimately shelved by the newly formed Apple Records after George Harrison vetoed its release. Two years later, Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason took them under his wing as manager and sent them to Ron Geesin in July 1969 to record further demos.
Renaming themselves Chimera, the duo became loosely associated with Pink Floyd’s creative circle.
