Hole In The Wall, formed in 1971 in Bergen, Norway, was a Norwegian country rock band founded by Erik Moll and Rune Walle. Historically, they stand among the early trailblazers of Norway’s Roots revival movement.

The band’s name was inspired by a legendary gang of American outlaws from the Wild West, who took their name from a secluded mountain pass—Hole-in-the-Wall—in Johnson County, Wyoming, which served as their hideout.

Their sound blended elements of American country, traditional folk, psychedelia, and rock ’n’ roll, creating a distinct musical fusion.

A Norwegian progressive rock band hailing from Oslo, active from 1966 to 1983. The original lineup featured Bent Åserud on guitars, keyboards, flute, and vocals; Geir Bøhren on vocals, drums, and saxophone; Helge Grøslie on keyboards; Freddy Dahl on guitar and vocals; and Øyvind Vilbo on bass.

Their ambitious debut album, Friendship, released in 1971, is considered one of Norway's earliest progressive rock records—and notably, the country's first double LP.

A Norwegian rock group formed in 1969 and active until 1975, this band featured a talented lineup that included Åge Aleksandersen (guitar, vocals), Per Erik Wallum (vocals, flute), Johan Tangen (mandolin), Terje Tysland (guitar, accordion), Kaare Skevik Jr. (drums), and Jan Devik (bass). Over the years, the group saw a few changes in its members, with Frode Viken, Jan Erik Moe (guitar in 1970), and Kjell Ove Riseth (bass) being notable former members. Known for their unique sound and instrumental diversity, the band left a lasting impression on the Norwegian rock scene despite their relatively short existence.

Titanic was a rock band active from 1969 to 2014. Its members came from Norway and Britain. The group formed in Norway in 1969. Its members were Kenny Aas, Kjell Asperud, John Lorck, Janne Løseth and Roy Robinson and, for a time, John Williamson. Guitarist Janne Loseth was the band's primary songwriter and lead singer Roy Robinson its main lyricist.

Aunt Mary was a Norwegian prog rock band from the 1970s.
They signed a recording contract with Polydor Records in Denmark, to facilitate the release of their first album in 1970. The group gradually moved towards progressive rock with the records Loaded in 1972 and Janus in 1973.
