A British improvised jazz-rock ensemble active throughout the 1970s, the group was founded in the late 1960s by saxophonist Trevor Watts. Its lineup remained highly fluid, with numerous personnel changes over the years, while Watts was the sole constant member. Musically, the band fused free improvisation, funk, avant-garde experimentation, and electric jazz fusion into a distinctive sound. Despite releasing several albums and undertaking extensive tours, it never achieved the recognition it deserved and remained one of the era’s most overlooked acts. The group disbanded in 1980.
