Spring were a Leicester-based British progressive rock band that represented the early 1970s progressive rock movement. A one-shot band, it recorded only one album in its career, a self-titled LP released in 1971.

  1. Thanks! They were known as one of the first bands to use mellotron in their recordings and had 3 of their 5 members credited with using it. I think there was material for a 2nd album recorded in 1973, but not released until 2007. Also of news, I heard the vocalist of the group, Pat Moran, has died in February 2011 from Pick's disease (a type of dementia).
