Formed in September 1971, Thirsty Moon emerged from the merger of D.R.P. (Drogies Rock Project) and Shakespears—a jazz-soul outfit—bringing together a large ensemble of seven to eight members. Led primarily by the Drogies brothers, the group crafted intricate rock compositions grounded in unconventional jazz structures.

DeleteThirsty Moon always keep the spirit and energy of their live sound embedded in their studio albums. The overall feel of their music, for me, is walking into some Berlin venue on a 70s Saturday night with TM playing to a drunkenly enthusiastic packed house. The track "Big City" illustrates this perfectly. Thank you for the compilation
