  3. Hi War,
'Been listening to this again today and it gets better and better. Every track is worthy of praise. CHANGES' "The Saddest Thing" is so haunting. It's a great opening tune. When the singer exclaims, "... but the saddest thing I've ever seen is when you walked away," it shoots right through the heart.

"On A Shelf" (ROBERT GILLIGAN) is crazy-good;the instrumentation and Robert's "2 different voices" work so well together.

PROCOL HARUM's "Barnyard Story" - Great lyrics... and that ending! "...maybe death will be my cure." OUCH! (Procol Harum is the only act I'm familiar with here; but I've never heard this song before.)

CHAMAELEON CHURCH's, "Camillia Is Changing" and TERRY SYLVESTER's, "Pick Up The Pieces" have such gorgeous melodies and vocal arrangmentments. A great pairing!

ANDY ROBINSON's "Patterns Of Reality" is simply heartbreaking.

And "Attraction" (BRONCO) is superb. The singer's voice and the instrumentation/orchestration are a another perfect fit. If I was forced to pick a favorite, it would be this one. But each cut is great and I just had to thank you again. These are wonderful tunes for a disillusioned heart! 'Lookin' forward to hearing more of your collections... but for now I want to savor this one a while longer.

  4. Hi Dylan,

First of all, you might want to rearrange the playing sequence of this compilation (check above updated tracks listing), that is, if to capture the essence of this album matters to you. No necessary re-downloading on your part as I've left the contents as is. I had a good listen to this compilation after reading your fantastic review and noticed that the tracks sequencing somehow derailed me at times.
Now to the gist of it, I want to tell you that I'm pretty stoked at your take on some of the tracks featured in this comp. I think that's what I need to spice up this blog if only I don't fall incapacitated for words each time I listen to a well-written song. Cheers!
